One thing's for sure, the main dish at "Myeongdong Kalguksu" is definitely Kalguksu! However, this restaurant offers a wide variety of delicious Korean dishes, so you can explore many different options. Besides their signature Kalguksu, they also serve dumplings, bossam, jokbal, and even shabu-shabu. "Toronto Myeongdong Kalguksu" Ordered Dishes
Since I was dining with a group, I decided to order the "King Galbi Kalguksu" just for myself.
Doesn't it look delicious? The portion was huge, much more than you'd expect for a single serving. The ribs and broth in the Kalguksu were incredibly well-balanced and slightly sweet, making for a very enjoyable meal.
One of my dining companions ordered the regular Kalguksu, so I snapped a quick photo.
I also ordered several side dishes to share with the group.
The first side dish we ordered was "Jokbal".
The portion was generous, so it was perfect for sharing. The meat was tender and chewy, practically melting in my mouth. They also served it with a burner to keep it warm, ensuring that every bite was just as good as the first.
The second side dish we ordered was "King Dumplings."
Sometimes when visiting Myeongdong Kalguksu, you can see the staff making the dumplings by hand, and you can truly taste the difference. The fresh, homemade taste of both the dumplings and the kimchi was simply delightful.
The third side dish we ordered was "Bossam."
The bossam was also served with a burner to keep it warm, which allowed us to enjoy the chewy texture throughout the meal. The combination of the pork and the accompanying kimchi was an explosion of flavors.
After the meal, I was so full I could barely move! The portions were generous, and everything was incredibly delicious.
I thoroughly enjoyed my meal at Myeongdong Kalguksu. The delicious food and friendly staff made the experience even better. If you're in Toronto, I highly recommend visiting this restaurant for a great meal!
After the meal, we spotted a Starbucks nearby, so we decided to stop in for a sweet drink. I opted for a strawberry frappuccino, and the sweet and tangy flavors hit the spot.
Today’s meal and the sweet Starbucks drink made for a delightful day. I can't wait to visit again and try more dishes next time!
